Cynthia Hoyle is a nationally recognized leader and advocate of livable communities and safe streets. She was a pioneer in advocating for streets as corridors for all modes of transportation beginning with the groundbreaking publication of the PAS report Traffic Calming in 1995. Cynthia is a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners and the Institute of Transportation Engineers, and a published author. She is a Complete Streets Instructor with the National Complete Streets Coalition, a League Certified Instructor through the League of American Bicyclists, Chair of C-U Safe Routes to School Project, serves as Vice President on the Board of Ride Illinois, is Past President of Healthy Champaign County, and serves as the Vice-Chair of the Urbana Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission.
